Africa-UniNet aims to be a long-term platform for scientific discourse. It establishes a solid communication structure between Austrian and African higher education institutions and scientific institutions. It encourages mutual learning and the inclusion of important stakeholders.

As a network between African and Austrian universities and research institutions, Africa-UniNet has organised numerous events, including the 1st, 2nd and 3rd General Assembly held in Austria and Kenya. Africa-UniNet has received increasing attention in the media, and several publications have resulted from its projects.

The network's annual reports provide information on the development of Africa-UniNet since its establishment in 2020.
