Austrian Higher Education Networks with Asia and Africa – Panel Discussion at University of Salzburg

As part of its International Week 2026, the University of Salzburg will host a panel discussion on Austrian higher education networks on 25 March 2026 from 14:00 to 16:00. The event will take place on-site at the University of Salzburg and will be held in German.

The panel will bring together the three presidents of the networks as well as a representative of the BMFWF to discuss the synergies, objectives, and future perspectives of the university networks:

Prof. Hubert Hasenauer (President, Africa-UniNet)
Prof. Gabriele Kotsis (President, ASEA-UNINET)
Prof. Josef Strobl (President, Eurasia-Pacific-Uninet)
Dr. Christoph Ramoser (BMFWF)

The panel discussion will be moderated by the Rector of the University of Salzburg, Dr. Bernhard Fügenschuh. At the beginning of the event, OeAD Managing Director Dr. Jakob Calice will give an introductory presentation on the “Impact of the UniNets.”

Date and Time: Wednesday, 25 March 2026, 14:00–16:00

Venue: Bibliotheksaula, University Library, Hofstallgasse 2–4, 5020 Salzburg

From 18:00 onwards, the Forum Asia Pacific at the University of Salzburg, together with the Afro-Asian Institute (AAI), will host a spring festival of Asian students at the premises of the AAI (Wiener Philharmoniker Gasse 2, 5020 Salzburg).
